LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – Now in its fifth year, Run The Greenway once again proved why it’s one of Loudoun’s most celebrated and impactful community events. Held for the third consecutive year at Loudoun Station and presented by Comstock, the 2025 race shattered previous records—welcoming 2,400 participants and raising over $283,102 for local nonprofits, schools, and community programs.

This wasn’t just a run. It was a movement. A moment. A morning that captured the power of people coming together to do good—on and off the course.

“This was more than just a race—it was a celebration of everything that makes Loudoun strong,” said Terry Hoffman, spokesperson for the Dulles Greenway. “To see so many people come together in support of local causes, schools, and families—it was the best kind of reminder of what this event is all about.”

Participants of all ages hit the Greenway for 5Ks, 10Ks, fun runs, and even galactic strolls, thanks to the day’s festive “May the Fourth Be With You” theme. From stormtroopers to Jedi-in-training, the race village at Loudoun Station was packed with costumes, community booths, food trucks, and families soaking up the energy.

One of the standout initiatives this year was a partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools offering $1,000 grants to the top six schools with the highest student participation. The funds will directly support PE departments, encouraging movement, school pride, and healthy habits beyond race day.

2025 Highlights:

  • Record-breaking 2,400 runners, walkers, and supporters
  • Over $1,176,000 raised for Loudoun-based nonprofits in 5 years
  • Third year hosted at Loudoun Station—an energetic, community-centric venue
  • Top 6 LCPS schools awarded $1,000 grants for their PE departments
  • Fifth anniversary of Run The Greenway, marking the largest and most impactful year to date

As the event continues to grow in scale and impact, one thing remains the same: Run The Greenway is about more than miles. It’s about momentum for the community.
